This is a good example of the kind of thinking that is driving the reform (read: “corporatization”) of California’s public universities. This particular document was circulated as “prereading” to a select group of individuals invited to participate in California State University, Fullerton’s strategic planning retreat on January 20, 2010. It is worth noting that very few faculty and student’s were invited to this retreat, and that the ideas presented in this document were never subjected to public discussion or debate.
This is a report prepared by the National Association of Scholars, a neoconservative think tank. It was submitted to the University of California Board of Regents in spring 2012.
