The British National Party
While Britain may maintain a reputation as a country with a strong democratic tradition, some radical-right wing political elements in England are conspiring to undermine it. The British National Party (or BNP) has been a mainstay of Britain’s far-right political scene for three decades. Through strongly opposed to immigration, the party also generates support amongst certain environmentalists, while simultaneously appealing to some anti-war activists, and a growing number of Britons disillusioned with the European Union. A nation filled with people frustrated by a government that ponders austerity while failing to control immigration may prove to be fertile ground for the BNP.

Sunrise on a Bad Day: Greece’s Golden Dawn
The belief that fascism was eradicated at the end of WWII is a common one, but contemporary political developments in Eastern and Southern Europe tell a different story. Its members, who often carry flags that are reminiscent of those carried by the Nazi party, harbor bitter resentment towards immigrants and their own government. Greece’s future looks undeniably dreary, a fact that has the potential to further fan the flames of the Golden Dawn movement.
